24-hour ration FR 5000 kcal

The 24-hour ration FR 5000 kcal covers the nutritional requirement for one day and is available in 7 different menus that gives variation throughout a whole week.

Description:

The 24-hour ration consists of three separable chambers: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each chamber contains a freeze-dried main meal based on our 7 breakfast meals and 14 dinner meals with additional components. The criteria for choosing the selection are nutritional content, storage life, user-friendliness and weight. FR 5000 kcal is suitable for persons needing a higher calorie requirement than average, and the ration is also available in a tropical alternative with 7 menus.

Specification:

Preparation of meals and drinks requires approximately 3.2 litres (5.36 pints) of water and each ration weighs approximately 1 kg (2.87 lbs).

The ration pack is enclosed in film, heat-sealed and finally vacuum packed.

The dimensions of each chamber are 210x195x50mm (lxwxh). The chambers are water and gas tight.

Unit:

FR 5000 kcal is packed into cardboard boxes of 8 units in each box.

The size of the cardboard box is: lxwxh = 40x40x30 cm (50dm3).

Net weight of the cardboard box is: 500 grams.

Pallets:

18 cardboard boxes on one pallet

Pallet size: lxwxh = 120x80x110 cm

Shelf life:

The whole ration has a shelf life of 2 ½ years from the date of production; however some of the individual components (for example the main meal) have a shelf life of up to 5 years from the date of production.
