One of many precautions taken to increase safety of field staff is to install ballistic blanket kits in the vehicles. The kits are tailor-made protection for vehicles, 4 WD’s and trucks, to reduce/stop the impact of fragments from anti personnel mines when detonated by the vehicle. The ballistic blanket protects against most known anti personnel mines. When combining ballistic blankets with Rofi Wheel Arch Panels (WAP), the protection level will increase up to DM31.

On request for purchase and installation of Ballistic Blankets, patterns must be made if the model asked for is not already designed. Installation must be carried out by trained personnel. Installation time differs with models. Rofi has certified installation crews in local workshops world wide, and may even do field installations if requested.

Specifications:

Soft armour protective material in PVC- covers, for safeguarding the protection material against sun exposure, dirt and humidity. Available tailor-made for approx 50 different models of vehicles.

The Contender bullet- and splinter proof vest is designed to give the best possible user comfort and correct protection level. The requirement for personal protection varies and is individual. That is why the Contender vest is a model that is highly adjustable, with individual adjustment at shoulder and waist. Equipped with back- neck collar and pockets in front and back, enables easy upgrade of the vest to a higher protection level. Option on pelvic protection.

The ballistic inserts are made of several layers of aramid, which in combination with our own construction and design form the correct protection ballistic level. Each individual vest is manufactured in accordance with international and recognised standards and in accordance with the quality assurance system ISO 9001.

The ballistic inserts of the vest can easily be removed, and the outer cover can be washed in a washing machine in 40 degrees Celsius.

The FENDER Apron is designed in co-operation with demining organisations working in Afghanistan, in order to meet the specific requirements for demining in this country. The design facilitates protection for the deminers when in upright position operating the metal detector, as well as in both squatting and kneeling position during prodding.

The FENDER protective clothing consists of a vest unit covering the front, sides, shoulders, neck and upper part of the back, including a second collar functioning as the connection between the clothing and the visor. The lower part consists of a detachable apron with straps to form a comfortable and functional protective clothing.

The ballistic inserts of the vest can easily be removed, and the outer cover can be washed in a washing machine in 40 degrees Celsius. Using a brush and a wet cloth can clean the apron.

The design facilitates protection for the deminers when in upright position operating the metal detector, as well as in both squatting and kneeling position during prodding.

The RAVELIN protective clothing consists of a vest unit covering the front, abdomen, sides, shoulders and neck, including a second collar functioning as the connection between the clothing and the visor. We offer 3 different versions of the RAVELIN vest:

OB (open back strap system) / HPB (half protected back) / PB (protected back)

The ballistic inserts of the vest can easily be removed, and the outer cover can be washed in a washing machine in 40oC.
